Cabin Fever Day is a yearly fishing exposition that is primarily a fundraiser for the Fox Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited. The revenues generated by Cabin Fever Day provides FVTU with the vast majority of its operating budget. All proceeds from this event are used on programs and activities that support our mission statement:Conserving, protecting and restoring North America's coldwater fisheries and their watersheds.
CFD has proven to be a wonderful social event that provides fishers with a entertaining and educational experience.
This year's event will be held at the Grand Meridian on January 11, 2014.

Kids Fly Tying - Bring your young anglers to the Kids Fly Tying booth where they can experience the thrill of tying their own fly and bringing it home to show mom and in a few months catch a fish.
Fly Tyers - 12-15 local Expert fly tyers will be demonstrating their craft, answering your questions and providing fun. They will be tying their own expert versions of locally important fly patterns. They will be glad to answer all your questions about fly tying.
Fly Shop Personnel – Need new boots, another rod or tying material? Area fly shop personnel will be on hand to to discuss your equipment, clothing and terminal tackle needs. Names like Tight Lines, Cabelas, Hawkeye Flytyer, Wisconsin John Nebel and others will be on hand to assist and advise.
Entomology expert Tom Lager, our very own Bug Man, will answer all your questions about aquatic bug life. He brings large aquariums loaded with aquatic invertebrates (bugs) to show you… This exhibit is always a hit with the kids, especially when he makes the bugs dance.

Used Equip Shed – is the first stop many of our members make when arriving at CFD. Why? The deals on used stuff are incredible. There will be flies, framed art, fishing equipment, tools, camping and outdoor gear, lots of fly tying material and junk. Get there early while the good stuff is still available.
